Announcement of the Autumn 2018
3rd Takarazuka Revue Performance in Taiwan
- Featuring debut performances in Kaohsiung and performances in Taipei -
In 2013 and 2015, the Takarazuka Revue gave performances in Taipei, northern Taiwan, as a token of appreciation for Taiwan’s donations in response to the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami as well as for being part of a mutual exchange between Japan and Taiwan. These performances earned the Revue many Taiwanese fans and enjoyed enormous success. Since its last performance in Taiwan, the Takarazuka Revue has screened live viewings of Takarazuka Revue performances in Japan for audiences in Taiwan to enjoy as well. Following increased expectations and requests for live stage performances, the Revue announces its plans to hold the 3rd Takarazuka Revue performance in Taiwan in autumn 2018.
In addition to performances in Taipei, the Takarazuka Revue will also perform live in Kaohsiung for the first time to thank fans in southern Taiwan. Co-sponsored by the National Performing Arts Center - National Theater & Concert Hall, the Taipei performances will be held for the third time at the National Theater & Concert Hall in celebration of the hall’s 30th anniversary, and the Takarazuka Revue’s debut Kaohsiung performance will be held at the Jhihde Hall in the Kaohsiung Cultural Center. Through the performances in Taipei and Kaohsiung, the Takarazuka Revue hopes to contribute to an even more dynamic cultural exchange between Japan and Taiwan, and to that end, sincerely requests your warm support.
A brief outline of the performances is provided below. Programs, schedules, ticket sales, and other details will be announced in Japanese and Chinese on the Takarazuka Revue official website and in news releases when they are finalized.
