Story

“Le Grand Escalier”

The 1927 premiere of “Mon Paris” marked the first Western-style revue in Japan, created by Tatsuya Kishida after his observation of Western theater, and the Takarazuka Revue has not stopped producing breathtaking revue shows since. To mark the 110th anniversary of the revue company, Takarazuka Revue will present a dazzling homage to its rich history and to those who shaped its journey spanning over a century.
Couples dancing in enchanting Paris, proud matadors standing in the bullrings of Granada, downtown youths dreaming of the skyscrapers in New York City… Waiting at the end of all these dreams, illuminated in magnificent light: Le Grand Escalier (the grand staircase)! Enjoy this performance studded with dreams, showcasing the most evocative, quintessential melodies that represent the Takarazuka Revue.
