“110 Years of Takarazuka Love Songs”

A performance that showcases a selection of love songs from the most memorable Japanese-style shows of Takarazuka Revue’s 110-year history and weaves them into a new production. Enjoy this show that connects the traditional Japanese-style shows of Takarazuka with the future.
Lamenting love lost, Fujiwara no Sadaie doubts he would ever compose a love poem again. Amidst his lamentations, a mysterious figure appears before him. Beckoned by this beautiful woman who has been performing and singing about the joy, beauty, and pain of love, Sadaie sets off on a journey to a mysterious world overflowing with love songs...

“Razzle Dazzle”

Los Angeles in the 1950s. Raymond Blue, who lost his wealthy parents at a young age and inherited a vast fortune, is known as “Hollywood’s wealthiest orphan,” but that inheritance comes with conditions that have to be met. To claim it, Raymond has to marry the daughter of his guardian and distant relative, businessman Richard Winters, and give up his reckless lifestyle.
Raymond despises his materialistic fiancée, Abby, who is only interested in his fortune. He seeks a way out of the marriage by becoming the new owner of his favorite nightclub, Razzle Dazzle, which has fallen on hard times. When his close friend, movie star Tony Davis visits the club, Raymond dreamily talks about love with him as if it were the plot of a movie. He is snapped out of his dream when Abby appears and declares in a heated argument that without his fortune, not a single woman in the world would love Raymond.
Unable to stand the bickering any longer, Tony steps in with a bold proposition: If Raymond can win someone’s love while hiding his identity as the richest man in Hollywood, his engagement to Abby will be called off, and he will gain full control of his fortune. However, if he fails by the deadline, he must immediately marry Abby, per Richard’s terms. Dorothy, a naive young woman who has just arrived in Hollywood from a small town, dreaming of becoming a star on the silver screen, is the one they choose for the role of the “love interest” Raymond needs to win over.
Set in Razzle Dazzle, a nightclub whose very name means “glamorous chaos, confusion, and deceit,” this heartwarming comedy follows the protagonist’s frantic attempts to deceive his way to a “false love” until he realizes the meaning of “true love.”
