Story

“Artemis: Shooting for the Heavens”

Set in the early 1970s, just a few years after humanity’s historic first landing on the Moon. Oscar, an astronaut with NASA, has been selected for the crew of Apollo 18, the next mission in the Apollo program, and devotes himself to rigorous training as he dreams of the day he will set foot on the lunar surface. When a plan is proposed to train women as astronauts, the top finishers in a women’s air race—including its winner, Milana—are selected as candidates. The male astronauts, who have earned their positions by overcoming the official selection process, are outraged. Veteran astronaut Oscar voices their objections, but his protest is dismissed with the explanation that the Apollo program, which requires an enormous budget, needs something new to maintain the public’s interest. Eventually, Milana and the other female candidates join the training program. Although Oscar initially clashes with Milana, the rigorous training they must face together gradually brings them closer as Oscar comes to resonate with Milana’s deep passion for reaching the Moon. But just as they begin to understand one another, Milana is suddenly taken into custody on suspicion of espionage...
This musical tells the story of a fictional astronaut and the hopes and struggles of those who dreamed of reaching the Moon. Half a century later, as humanity prepares to return to the Moon, Moon Troupe is preparing its own journey to our nearest celestial neighbor.

“Belle Époque”

Belle Époque—literally, “the beautiful era”—refers to the cultural flowering centered in Paris from the late nineteenth century until the outbreak of World War I in 1914, with the 1900 Paris Exposition marking its dazzling high point.
Through a series of vivid sketches of Paris at the dawn of the city’s enduring beauty, this glamorous revue delicately portrays the beautiful hearts of Moon Troupe, led by An Hozuki, through a rich array of musical numbers, in a captivating blend of sweetness and exhilaration.
