Story

"GRAND HOTEL"

The year is 1928, at the Grand Hotel in Berlin. It's just another regular day at this world-famous luxury hotel, with people of diverse backgrounds passing through its doors...
Baron Felix Amadeus Benvenuto von Gaigern is a jovial, charming young aristocrat with a passion for living life as he wishes and pleases. At first glance he comes off as a graceful long-term guest, but in fact he is mired in debt and is behind on payments for his room at the Grand Hotel.
Elizaveta Grushinskaya is a Russian prima ballerina whose repute spans the globe. Now, though, as she fades from the public's memory, Elizaveta is losing her self-confidence and motivation to continue dancing. She has come to the Grand Hotel en route to her farewell performance.
Otto Kringelein, a bookkeeper suffering from an incurable disease, has come to the hotel to spend his final days. The sudden prognosis of his impending demise was ironic, as he has endured and survived a life of hardship. After investing the savings he accumulated little by little, he has now come to the Grand Hotel to truly find himself, so to speak.
Frida Flamm, also known as Flaemmchen, is a freelance typist. In search of a job she has come to the hotel to meet with Mr. Preysing, an entrepreneur who "seeks a secretary." Flaemmchen, meanwhile, has vague dreams of becoming a movie star and living like a Hollywood celebrity. However, her recently changed circumstances necessitate that she find money fast.
Raffaela Ottannio is Elizaveta's loyal attendant. Harboring a secret love for the ballerina over the past 22 years, Raffaela has devoted her entire life to Elizaveta. The two have come to the hotel ahead of Elizaveta's performance in Berlin.
And last but not least, the hotel staff:
Among them is Erik Rittnauer, who works the front desk. His wife is about to give birth to their child, but he is unable to get the day off. Meanwhile he waits pensively for a telephone call from the hospital.
People come and go at the Grand Hotel, a place where people's lives intersect...

"CAROUSEL RONDO"

This "revue romance" of impressively interweaving dance routines on an elegant and glitzy stage celebrates the 90th anniversary of "Mon Paris," the first revue in Japan. In "Mon Paris," a carousel of wooden horses imbued with life circle the Earth's entirety along an axis, as if the steeds are on an endless journey dancing a rondo round the world. While "Mon Paris" portrays them departing from Japan for Paris, audiences will be treated to a rich variety of scenes as they watch a herd leaving Paris for Takarazuka on a world tour. Ryo Tamaki leads a reborn Moon Troupe that is vibrant and powerful in this thoroughly mesmerizing revue.
